Tom Hillman - Director
Tom has been involved with Happening since 1998, when he was invited to serve on the adult staff. As director, his responsibilities include recruiting adult staff, training adult and teen leaders, chairing staff meetings, participating in the weekends, following up with each participant after the Happening weekend, and communicating with host parishes. Tom has been a member of The Church of the Ascension in Oakland for 55 years. He has served two terms on vestry, sung in the choir, taught Sunday School, and co-led a house group. He currently serves in the senior high youth ministry. He lives in Monroeville, PA with his wife and two daughters. Cindy has been the Happening Administrator for the past 13 years. Her responsibilities include assisting the Priest In Charge and the Director, bookkeeping, coordinating events, and participating in the Happening Weekends. Cindy has been a member of Grace Anglican Church in Mt. Washington for 35 years. At Grace, she has served as the parish senior warden, vestry member several terms, parish treasurer and a Sunday School teacher. Cindy very involved in Women Alive in Christ, the Women's Ministry of the Anglican Diocese of Pittsburgh. She is married, has three children, and would love to speak with you about Happening. Jeff Minshall - Spiritual Director ;) Jeff attended his first Happening retreat in the fall of 1999 as a high school junior. It was a very important piece of his spiritual journey as he began to seriously discern a call to the priesthood, which led him to study religion in college and brought him back to Pittsburgh to study at Trinity School for Ministry and pursue that call. Having earned his MDiv in the spring of 2011, he is currently working as the youth minister at Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church in the South Hills of Pittsburgh as he prepares himself to be ordained. He is thrilled to work alongside his wife, Valerie in this very important ministry to teenagers and prays that their sons Joshua and William, will one day receive Christ's love in such a ministry as this.
